Fort William: Spotted – DVO Single Crown Fork.

by 6

DVO burst onto the mtb scene around two years ago, their debut into the mountain bike market came in the form of the unique Emerald fork. The Emerald fork included DVO’s very own OTT (Off The Top) technology, and most of all brought back the inverted fork to the world of cycling.

The new (non-inverted) Diamond fork includes high speed, low speed compression adjustments, rebound control and the OTT feature. The fork also includes the same Bottom Loader Unit as the Emerald fork; this specially designed unit is where all the small shim stack tuning is made.

DVO’s Off The Top feature enables all riders whatever weight or riding style to get the perfect small bump sensitivity. With the right amount of pressure and adjustment the OTT feature will provide small bump sensitivity from the beginning of the stroke all the way through the travel, this feature allows all riders to get that perfect suspension feeling.

With 26, 27.5 and eventually a 29inch fork available; the internally adjusted 140, 150 to 160mm travel fork weighs in at an estimated 1.9kg, the Diamond fork is aimed at the trail/enduro market. At an estimated cost around $1000 the Diamond is a large investment but comes fully equipped with the latest technologies and best all round suspension feel.  A 15mm axle keeps your wheels safe and secure and lightweight.

The Diamond does not yet have a release date, but will be handed out to sponsored athlete Cedric Gracia any day now for some rather hard testing.
