We reckon MTBCut riders Joe Barnes and Fraser McGlone are easily some of the most stylish pinners out there, so this new video should bring a smile to your face and make Friday even more enjoyable than usual. Shot on the ominously named ‘Brown Loop’ at Laggan Wolftrax in Strathmashie Forest, there’s more shredding than you can shake a wet root at, plus possibly the best bit of flat-out cornering ever recorded, so take a peek below.
Combine that with the chance to win some new shoes and you’re onto a winner all round…
So, as UK athletes Joe Barnes and Fraser McGlone just demonstrated, the Five Ten Maltese Falcon is an all-mountain, trail riding SPD shoe that can punch way above its weight.
Thanks to Big Stone we have three pairs to give away to you lucky lot. All you need to do is watch the video then answer this simple question:
Towards the end of the video, Fraser damages his wheel, but just how bad does he think it is?
Righto, the competition is now closed. Thanks for all the entries, the correct answer was:
B) Pure fa*cked

Mmmmm… that was like an Orange Five advert. I think, actually, the pivotal reason why eventually I bought one was seeing a picture of one of these guys and an O-5 in the mag riding down a Scottish mountain. Impressionable, moi? How do they fall down (hard) and then just bounce back up again? La, la, la, la… This is why I will always be a total jey-mincer. I don’t bounce back again like that.. It hurts. I avoid.
Rad! 🙂
I wanted to enter, but the video put me off SPDs
Nice power manual cornering though!
The brown loop at Strathmashie Forest looks interesting! Anyone know if that is an official trail?
the last little popping corner is just as good as the other one, IMO!
Is that the other side of the road to the trail centre carpark?
Bet he fell off at 3:00!
why do you need stealth rubber on a spd shoe????
Lok like workmans boots……….or worse!!;0)
