On April 5th, Ruthin in North Wales will be host to the Open 5 adventure race – a 5 hour long event in the Welsh mountains that combines mountain biking with fell running.
The event is part of the Mountain Hardware Open 5 Winter series and is open to solo or paired competitors.
Within the 5 hour time limit, competitors need to visit as many points (controls) as possible, some of which can only be accessed on either bike or by foot. Each control is worth varying amounts of points and the team with the most points at the end wins.
