Temperatures are still low but there is no denying that spring is trying its best to break through. And with spring approaching the 1st round of the Chain Reaction Cycles MTB Marathon Series powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport can’t be far away. In fact we are talking only four weeks from now.
1st event of the season – 10-11th Aril, Builth Wells:
Traditionally (or at least for the last six years) the EXPOSURE LIGHTS BIG NIGHT OUT night marathon will kick off the series in style on the 10th April at the Royal Welsh Showground in Builth Wells. The approx. 43km long night marathon will be followed by the Sunday run Spring marathon will have a 28km long Mini Marathon – ideal for beginners and families, a 51km half marathon or the 70km long distance available so that every rider can find the right distance for the day.
Riders who are going for the weekend double don’t need to worry about doing the same course twice as John Lloyd has thrown in lots of extra and different stuff in for Sunday. They will also get rewarded with a £ 15 discount on the overall price. The event is based on the Royal Welsh Showground which has lots of hard standing, perfect access roads and facilities and is only a very short walk from the centre of Builth Wells. So if you are keen to find out what you let yourself in for make sure you have a look on the event of your choosing.
