Endura Flyte Jacket
Price: £99.99
From: Endura www.endura.co.uk
Tested: 9 months

I bought this jacket back in the depths of winter and had cause to drag it out again a lot recently to protect me from the “Summer” weather!

As you would expect from Endura the jacket is cycling specific with a long back and arms, shorter front and plenty of reflective bits.  There are “Pit Zips” and a double flap over the front zip with storm gutter.  The jacket has a front chest pocket with iPod port and a rear pocket with a nifty angled zip to make access easier.

The PTFE fabric is new to Endura and is used in the MT500 jacket as well. It’s a waterproof and breathable fabric which is bonded to an inner scrim and outer shell fabric.  In use the fabric has been excellent doing exactly what is says on the tin, keeping me dry and not steaming up.

I’ve used it regularly since January, mainly for commuting which is 15km off road and 15km on road so its had a good test under various circumstances.  The jacket has performed flawlessly and I’ve remained dry and comfortable in use and its held up to some rough treatment.

Overall: A very pleasing jacket which has been great in use on the bike and light enough to pack down into a Camelbak for “maybe” days.
