Just got some second hand Vengence forks, some older ones in a bit of a need of a service but my revs packed in and I needed something to keep me going.

Put them on the bike but there’s play in the front wheel, like the axle won’t do up enough to sit completely flush. I’ve taken the axle out, inspected all the threads and done it up pretty damn tight (and the pinch bolts after) but still having the same issue. Before I spend money on a service kit and/or new axle, any thoughts anyone? Something simple I’m missing here?

I’ve always just been a rockshox or Fox guy so not sure if it’s something stupid I’m missing.
