One of the tension bolts has a rounded head on a pair of SPD’s I own so am looking for at least one, preferably a few as spares…. I am talking about the tension bolt that adjusts the strength of the retention mechanism, the one marked -|||||+ on the rear of the pedal.
According to Madison Shimano dont stock these as spares (losers), I searched the part catalogues and was thinking about trying to get a similar bolt from somewhere else but the bolt is really wierd, it has 4 little notches on the top (you can feel these when turning it) and its reverse threaded.
Has anyone else mangled that bolt and managed to find a replacement? I cant believe that a pair of £50 pedals is ruined for the sake of probably the cheapest component part on them!!!!
