    Now the CX season’s over, it’s time to adapt the Uncle John for touring/commuting duties.

    How to affix a rear mudguard to a frame with no chainstay bridge:

    1) Find old LED plastic mounting bracket;
    2) Find small corner brace;
    3) Twist end of small corner brace through 90degrees;
    4) Find appropriate nut, bolt and spacers and assemble.

    There might be a better/neater way of bodging something like that but I don’t know it.

    That’s a neat solution. Hope it’s very well greased up, otherwise it’s gona be a right bugger to get off if it corrodes!

    you could sell that on ebay…

    very useful bodge: suprising how many frames have rack eyelets but no chainstay bridge.

    BTW madison also do a seatclamp with rackmounts on it if you have mudguardy bits but not rack ones at the top of the chainstays.
