  • Winter fork musings…

I’m readying my 100mm 26er for winter use, and it occurred to me to put a rigid carbon Exotic fork on it. I don’t even know why. Perhaps lack of required maintenance, maybe it’d enhance my skills.

something brilliant about a rigid front end. low, light , fast.

I regretfully sold a Kinesis SS with a rigid fork. This one would go on an Enigma Ti frame, I’m slightly nervous of stressing the frame, although I wouldn’t be going very fast in the single track gloop.

How about rigid with a 650+ wheel?

I’m enjoying 29+ on the front of my SS.

Exotics are good. Right combo of give and just enough stiffness. Might as well go singlespeed too for the perfect winter bike.
