I replaced the rear shock this week with a Float RP2 so this will be my first test ride. A quick pedal around my street and I noticed an immediate difference
Good stuff Bob. I'm concidering a 2010 RP23 in the next few months. What size shock did you have to go for.
Since I last spoke to you bought new wheels (Hope Pro II hubs, Mavic XC819 Rims) from Alastair Gow, and just fitted a full XT group set, after destroying alot of the old groupset at puffer. The difference over the standard stuff along with the Talas RLC's is increadable so far. Theres not much of the original bike I bought 18 month ago going to be left lolPosted 2 years ago # -
chilterns with a mate who i have not ridden with for two years, so three hours of mud and talking about guitars

Glentress yesterday then unexpectedly again today, yersterday mincing around waiting for something to drop off my new build, today deciding nothing was going to fall off and actually riding it. No doubt next time I ride it the swingarm'll drop off or something to teach me a lesson.

Excellent weekend of riding which actually started Wednesday with a night ride in Ae then another night ride in Dalbeattie on Thursday, Kirroughtree Red and Black Friday, Dalbeattie on Saturday and Ae DH stuff today.
Five days of dry back to back riding absolutely brilliant, feel pretty tired now, but a good kick start to getting back on track with fitness
Bring on the spring and summer.

Why is it when I go to check out new single track, it is all uphill and muddy (but also snowy today) ? Who said it was spring?
This was on a flat bit half way up:

This was on the main bike/hike trail on the way home:
