Very near a gate on the SDW above Kingston for 25 years or so there was a large lump of metal sticking out of the ground which one really wanted to avoid hitting. I never did but then it recently it disappeared and now I’m convinced I shall crash because I’m completely distracted by looking for something that isn’t there.

When I had a motorcycle, my mates nickname for me was “drain cover”.
