I currently have a 3yr old iPhone 4 which has been OK. However after the last few software “updates” its now woefully inadequate / slow to open messages / apps / web pages.

I have tried factory reset but not helped matters.

It now owes me nothing so time to retire and buy its replacement outright with a budget of <£200 (less is better).

No interest in getting an iPhone again or indeed the latest android phone but would like 4g. Most of web browsing is via tablet but use phone when out and about and as a hotspot.

So hive mind; what do you recommend?

Moto G 4G, only downside is that the camera isn’t brilliant. The OS is basic android kitkat so no fancy skins or themes to bog it down.

Another vote for the moto g, it’s a lovely little phone, camera is a bit of a pain, am still getting used to it.

Just got moto g’s at work and use it over my iPhone now. Much much better and a great phone for the money. Don’t think I’d have another iPhone now to be honest

I have heard good things about Xiaomi Mi3
