    does anyone know what compounds are used on the minion 2.5 exo 3c songle ply tyre. ive read somewhere that harder compounds are used that the 70/42/40 that the dual ply downhill use.

    The single ply tyre is completely different.

    The 3C SINGLE PLY EXO casing has the following durometers:
    26×2.50 Minion DHF Foldable 3C 70a/60a/50a EXO Protection 855g

    The 3C DUAL PLY casing has the following durometers:
    26×2.50 Minion DHF 3C 70a/42a/40a 2-Ply 1330g

    I used the 3C EXO in the Alps last year and they were very good. Ran them tubeless on Flow rims with only one slow puncture in 3 weeks!

    cheer for the info. i was hoping they were a bit tackier.
    70a/50a/42a would have been more like what i wanted.
