Exactly.

I think I remember reading the blurb ages ago and it's something to do with settlement and the top cap sitting down too far and filling it out if it does ????? but I've used and fitted a lot and never needed them.

Hope are very helpfull, mostly...ring them and ask...and then let the rest of us know

Hiya mate I fitted one a week ago and had the same question. They go on top of the compression ring (the one that's not a complete circle) before the top goes on. I only need 1. I was told start with 2 put it all back together spacers stem etc tighten down then check gap. Add or delete depending.
