So what have you got and why do like it?
We've had dogs and kittens so now it's time for another STW favourite 🙂
Ford F150 5.0L V8 4x4 near Pemberton, British Columbia
[img]
I like it because it cost $1650 which is approximately £1050. The 4x4 works as does the air con and the cruise control.
That's the coolest thing ever!
Another budget 4X4 here. Mostly used for towing a trailer, sometimes towing the trailer off road, and essential in winter. Virtually unstoppable with Mud Terrains and difflock.

I must have that Tonka Suzuki.
built it up myself from a standard one, sold it on ebay few years back to a young lad down south

Well, it's got four wheel drive! [IMG]

I used to have an 86 110 van. And I'm on the hunt for a new -to me- defender! Spotted some interesting ones so far. Need to get rid of my 3 series 1st though.
It's just not the same.

That 80 inch is gorgeous.
Edit: Are those 2b fc rims? They look ace.
80".
WANT!
( though I could never do it justice because something that lovely takes some looking after and I'd want to get it muddy )
Shite pic of half my works 4x4

Current project looks like this as of last weekend:

When that's done I will mostly be doing a sympathetic (read: keeping the rat look) resto on this baby:

The best 4X4Xfar.
You appear to have accidentally posted a picture of an oxen cart rather than a Landy 😆
Given the money, I'd have something like this built up:

Full rally-raid spec with a V8. Completely mad, but I love it. 😀
chojin - MemberHolyzeus: *that's* what I'm talking about
Cheers, when Photobucket plays ball i'll stick some more up
[IMG]
Not "One life Live it" sticker among all of you and you call yourself 4x4 aficionados 😉 the suspension articulation on the Landy is fantastic.
herr zokes you must be very proud 🙂

Off to buy that tomorrow with a view to dropping it in the front.......it has a 2.5TD 19j atm thats not great - either for power or longevity and is showing signs of rings blowing and heavily pressurising the crank case.
my previous 80"

I need a land rover it's official. Some very cool pics!
1986 ex-RAF 90, sadly now sold:

useless for almost everything except making a fabulous noise...

Actually, that's not fair, it does have an enormous battery, perfect for when the electricity falls out of my other heaps...
My 1990 Rangie 3.9 Vogue SE..
I miss her!!!
The reg was nothing to do with me!! it came with the car....

Sadly sold as it started breaking down at a remarkable rate within weeks of the warranty expiring!
seeing as daniel has broken the hybrid ice, WIP:

EFI V8 powered, sounds ace! Took off the road to sort the front end out (was defender stylee) make a new bulkhead and get the chassis galved.

latest member of the family...

I love landies.. but could never afford to own one. That 100inch(?) Rangie with the full roll cage is lush.
Not mine, this is Flowerpower's..
Kenneth - very nice looking that effort.
z1ppy - the Rangie was 100" standard ( and also the disco - essentially same chassis ). The full cage one looks like a bobtail effort of chopping the rear overhang off.
I am liking this thread a lot. HexhamStu loving your Ford Pick-up so much so I now have a picture of a lightning as my laptop background. Keep em comin'!

Another works Freelander. I think this one went past it's recommended wading depth 🙂 Women drivers eh 😉
<speechles> WTF happened</speechless> I thought Scaled's photo, looked like a 4x in a dodgy position...
Fisha.. I stand corrected, it's been a while since I drooled over "landrover owner", and though the forward control 101 was the only 100 incher, my mistake.
Not 100% sure other than she was a new starter had no 4x4 training so shouldn't even have been driving a 4x4 but she was backing up on top of the bank trying to turn around and ended up in the dyke.
Got to admit she got it nice and square.
😆 oh working in the E.A. is a riot 😉 good work with the boom 🙂
pictonroad - tell me about the dodge - is it a dodge ram (early one) or a dakota?
what engine is it,
you must be getting bored of it and be thinking of selling it ?
Some fabulous 4x's on here, Zeus's Landy is wonderful, the suspension is outrageous!
Angus, I don't know how close to the middle of nowhere your top pic of the Tuareg was taken, but it looks like the litterbug emmets even get out there, judging by the empty water bottle tossed on the ground! Looks like a fun place to drive, though.
Anyone ever shipped a pick-up truck from canada to the UK before? Tempted to bring the F150 home with me!
I've got a J plate Fourtrak.
It's called Dog.
It had a bust head gasket but still starts and runs first time, evertime.
It's now being fixed :O)

That was recent, which region you in?

5.2 litre magnum V8 Dodge Dakota. Bored? God no, it's amazing, it will however be for sale near Christmas if you can wait........

Litter is the ruin of this country, even in the middle of nowhere. In fact, I think the black plastic bag may be the national flower of Jordan.
nice, thats the big lump in the dakota aint it
drop me an email when its going - bigharleyduck(at)hotmail.com

The last time I saw a Landy on the end of a piece of string, my Forester was puling it out of a ditch in the snow. Lucky he had a winch on the front...
Pictonroad i'm in the Anglian region, the pic was sent to us on the day it happened. Just glad no one was hurt.
My D2 over looking the Mawddach estuary last year.
If anyone wants a camp site for next years Dyfi then can I recommend Bwlchgwyn Farm just across the estuary from Barmouth. Stunning place.

Sad, but in a funny sort of way comforting, in that us Brits are always being accused, with some justification, that we're filthy litterbugs, but other nations are as bad. 🙁
Zeus, I love your Landy! That looks like just the most fun to drive. 😀
[IMG]
Happy days 😆
Come on people keep em coming
When she was a hard top
[IMG]
Holyzeus, I can't tell you how much I want your Landy! How much travel does the suspension have, the articulation is amazing?
Its nothing spectacular TBH, a 2" lift and dislocation cones so that the springs reseat correctly.
She's a full on competition motor, not touched her for 18mths 😥
Competition motor... that's for sale? 🙂
