Sadly my Cannondale badboy is on its last legs , I love its agility and strength for throwing it around but I NEED MORE SPEED. I ve already got the thinnest tyres you can put on the mountain bike rims and while the gearing is great for traffic light drag racing i dont get the top end i now crave . i dont want to do the whole bottom bracket and chainset again. i ve tried racers but for flying around London and jumping over cars and people i just dont feel safe or able to jump the smallest of pots.
So i ve decided to go for a flat bar road bike ( not a hybrid )

looks to be my favoite but would like to hear from anyone who has experience of these bikes.

I have their urban v braked 29er SS, its a great bike for the money and if I still commuted around London it would be my bike of choice (maybe the disc version)
