How's the Pugsley ride Coastkid?
if magazine staff owned them and were writing about them everyone would want them but there not so keep it quiet and lets enjoy riding where you dont see many other people riding!!,before the pug i had a 1x1 with 47mm trials rims and nokian 3" tyres for beach riding but the pug is another level of floatation, 1st off this is the crazyest looking, most grin inducing, hilarios yet satisfying mtb(actully its a ATB!) ive owned in 22 years mountainbiking and thousands of pounds spent on bikes,ok there wierd handling on tarmac, everyone stares at you,xc riders all ask how hard is it with they heavy (only 1050g) tyres and kids go daft when they see it,it isnt the best bike ive owned or cost the most and its not much fun round say the black route at glentress even though i rode a 2 hour 5min ride but- it amazes you where it will go and it re-writes the apparent rule book which is that it wieghs proberly a real life 38-40 lbs with tools and water,no suspension yet i find myself riding 50-60 miles in a day on the cheviot hills http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XGRYS-j36XE which normaly kills me on my full suss xc bike- a 26 lbs cannondale, i bought it for riding on sand which there is 45 miles of coastline where were i stay, but it really shines where there is any soft going,i love it when you meet other riders and they mock it then you pass them in gloopy soft going (with the pug grin) and then there like "can i have a shot?!!",oh also they leave less of a foot print than a human so if that isnt a great eco statment againt the anti biking farternity then i dont know what is
if your ever up in edinburgh and fancy a shot on the beach let me know, pug mk 2 will also be under way this winter!
