Recently stolen in SW London 🙁
18" Kona Chute frame with Marzocchi Z1 Wedge fork.
Formula Oro brakes on Hope Pro II hubs and DT Swiss rims.
XT drivetrain, Thomson seatpost, Syncros sten and bars.
She was unique, built from scratch, and as you can see very trail-worthy. If you see her please give me a shout thanks.
Out of interest, does anyone have any personal experience with recovering bikes that have been stolen?
Cheers

Well, first of all you have to let people know it's stolen. Putting RIP in this thread title made me (and probably other people) assume you broke it!
Post up on every forum you can (I would guess that DH forums like Pinkbike, SDH etc would be most useful), drop flyers with those pictures round your local bike shops, maybe hit up your local riding spots and even Brick Lane market?
You can also harness the power of teh interwebs by setting up automatic searches . eBay has a "favourite search" tool that will do this for you but I think you can get ones that cover the entire www. The eBay one is really good because it will email a picture of the bike to you, and you can easily eliminate the false positives.
If you do spot it, contact the police. I know that there are people out there who suggest you go the vigilante route but in all honesty it's just a bike, if you go and try to recover it yourself you could end up in serious bother.
Good luck with getting it back, it's not the most common bike so you have a better chance than average. And that much surely be the last un-snapped pair of Z1 Wedges left in existence?! 😉
Z1 Wedge snapped? NEVER! Thanks for the tips - yeah, I'm definitely trying to put the word out, thanks!
