I don't use ebay much but and I guess this happens a lot, but someone could get seriously ripped off here. The advertiser is making out this bike is almost new and hardly ridden. The fact is that it's an original BLT and not a BLT2, so it's at least 5 years old, not 7 months old as claimed. The respray is presumably to cover up the trashed state it was actually in. The MBR reviews he quotes are for the BLT2, not the BLT.
Should someone (me?) post a question to alert buyers or just let it be?
He decides if the question gets posted on the add. If someone is looking to buy a BLT2, I'm pretty sure they will know what they are looking for.

But it is a good bike (nothing wrong with a Blur LT), and as said, well spec'ced. Just a bit dear, but then you can offer what you want.

In all honesty, the way the advert is written should alert people to the potential issues.
It's apparently been babied throughout its life, so why on earth would it need new bearings after 2 months? Why, if it's essentially new and under warranty, is the shock going to Mojo for service - just doesn't make any sense to me. The claim is that it had been ridden for a maximum of 3 weeks.
I smell fishiness.

Nowt particularly misleading i guess but still doesn't quite stack up. Amusing that he says that 'the only, and i mean only reason for selling is he's been offered a killer deal on another bike'.....but then says he might be interested in a swap for a mondraker at the bottom.

I agree he doesn't actually state its a BLT2, but everything else is designed to mislead:
In the spec list he specifically states the frame is 6-7 months old
He says the bike would be worth £4400 if built today
Several times he quotes the MBR review of the BLT2

I don't see nowt wrong with the advert. Its clearly listed, plenty of pics. Guy never said it was the newer model Blur, also did he say he bought it new? no. If you have the money and like wasting it then why not have the frame painted to a colour you like, even though its new!
The guys feedback looks ok, he's been on ebay a long time and sold a lot of things.
Worst crime he has committed is being a bit keen on the price. But considering he will have spent a lot of money trying to bling it up and bespoke it for his own needs. Surely you can see where he will be coming from.

Why not? Seems very probable. We had a Blur XC for a similar length of time.
Looks total legit to me, shock went to Mojo under warranty, which he's mentioned, he didn't like the colour, but it was a bargain, so he bought it. He says he 'upgraded the bearings' not sure why you'd bother, but seems reasonable to me.
He does say they're Elixirs whilst they're Juicy Ultimates, but that's about it.
It's overpriced, but it's not like it's actually an Apollo painted as a Blur. Some people really do over analyse things.

Hi its me with the rip off dishonest blah blah advert as i put down i orig was selling as I was gonna buy a mondraker foxy rr however have since been made redundant! and no longer have monies to buy said bike, this bike frame was bought brand new (as in of the shelf, no one had ridden from LBS shope no. supplied and owner is Marc please ring he will confirm Blur LT in WHITE was sold to me and the date!)so bike hasn't been thrashed and then resprayed I AM NOT DISHONEST ,,,AND the bike is 2k or offers so if your not interested in bike don't bid ,,,BIKE WAS REMOVED AS I HAVE PUT IN TITLE ZESTY,MONDRAKER....But as your all so concerned I'll place 1 next to the LT!!..And also get a life not trying to rip any1 of.AS I SAID IF YOU AIN'T JUST A BUNCH OF NOSEY WEIRDOS GIVE THE SHOP A RING TELL THEM YOUR SO CONCERNED If not get a life and leave people be....Or get your letters on points of view"IF you don't like it turn over!"
