    I wanna know what’s the best value/quality bottom. Racket & cassette removal tools,& where to buy them please,hope bb,shimano casstte,thx.

    superstarcomponents.

    Some of their kit is a bit iffy, but the tools are ok.
    The bottom bracket tool that fits a 1/2″ square drive socket set is way better than them god awful sheet steel spanners. Plus you can torque them up properly.
    Buy a good quakity pedal spanner also. The aforementioned Icetoolz brand one is good.

    But get yourself down Lidle first & get one of the £30 workstands that are on sale tomorrow.

    Ive got a workstand,& a full Snap-on tool cabinet,its the specialist items for the bottom bracket,cassette etc i need,i just dont really wanna have to buy twice..

    My BB (old style and new-fangled external) and cassette removal tools (inc. chainwhip) are all from Halfords. They’ve all been used loads and have all performed admirably.

    Nope. £30. Solid as a rock. Rocking horse do-do though. They will all be gone by now.

    New Park tools are made of soft cheese. The old stuff was good but pricey. My bike specific tools are all Fat Spanner. Heavy and burly. Stocked by my LBS. Not sure how readily available they are though.

    EDIT: Fat Spanner is rebadged Ice Tools / Cyclo.
