A bit torn as never been before.

Family trip, so I might be released for some early morning exploring + gentl-ish family ride during the week.

Gravel bike, 40mm tubeless nanos would give me capability on xc trails and road exploring possibilities + it is a whole lot easier to pack in the bike bag for the flight

MTB, 29er hardtail with modern geo would be better if it gets a bit rowdy but is a real squeeze in the bike bag, involving removing bars/seatpost etc etc

Help me Singletrack, you’re my only…

Surely a bar and seatpost removal is less than 5 mins work?

I just rode there. Village level you’d be fine on the gravel bike but think I would definitely prefer a little more surety if you’re climbing any of the ski areas. They get rocky rather quickly….even on the vehicle tracks. Some of it was a little high consequence as well.

I don’t think I saw any gravel bikes in my time there (but plenty of germans in head to toe lycra nonetheless)

Thanks – that’s helpful. Moggy be swinging the other way despite extra hassle…
