Very tempted for my Scott Scale HT. Its a standard BSA BB and the general theme is Red detailing so… 42/27 Is that not too tall? even for a sub 20lb race bike.

    Anybody tried it?
Also chain rings look a bit special, could prove hard/expensive to replace.

    Im still very tempted though.

FRM components are infamous for their shocking longevity and often lacklustre customer service. I’d not buy them myself, I’d get some XTRs and flog the rings.

Gearing is personal, but should be fine for that sort of bike, I ran 28/40 9 speed, have now gone 36t single ring on my race bike, and wouldn’t go back to a double in a hurry.

dont these have a rider weight limit too? can’t be that stiff if they have, however if you weigh 60kg they may be fine. As you say, they do look nice!
