We had a tree cut down and another trimmed a week or so ago. So had a sizeable pile of logs in the front garden ready to be cut up and seasoned.

Some cheeky blighters have helped themselves to the entire lot while we at work today. It would appear they have even spent some time sawing them into shorter lengths judging by the sawdust.

    Annoying.

    allthepies, we are asking around.

There was a funeral at the church across the road today, so there was probably someone there for most of the day.

I’m not sure McMoonter comes this far south, though judging by his woodpile, it’s a distinct possibility.

    Ooh, rotten luck!

Also, exactly not what I wanted to hear as I currently have a substantial (in my terms, not McM’s or Stoner’s) quantity of loggage on my driveway!

Itinerant squirrels, you probably destroyed their penthouse homes, so they just retrieved them.

Could be they thought you were just throwing them away (mate of mine had a couch go walking while he was flat moving, left it outside for 2 minutes and someone wandered along and thought “that’s too good to go in the bin!” and took it away

I woodn’t just assume there was malice involved, anyway, when you get to the root of it, it might be more innocent.

I can cedar way to solve this, don’t rest on your laurels, and stop pining for your wood – you need to find out if open fires are poplar on your street. Don’t beat around the bush, get knocking on doors and see if you can fir-ind them.
I’m logging off now, it’s time for me to leaf as I’m board, but good luck anyway, I’ll be rooting for you.

Turns out we may be barking up the wrong tree. A neighbour reckons he saw the tree surgeons back today. Which wasn’t in the agreement, if indeed it was them.

A call will be made in the morning.

You had better be careful who you accuse. You might end up at loggerheads with people and then they might ‘arbour a grudge.
