Tory Culture Secretary John ­Whittingdale faces a probe after accusations of a “blatant” and “outrageous” breach of parliamentary rules over his MTV awards trip

Whittingdale faces an investigation after he took his escort lover on a free trip to the MTV Awards in Amsterdam.

Labour’s Neil Coyle is reporting the Culture Secretary for failing to mention the 2013 all-expenses-paid, two-night trip on the MPs’ register of interests.

Cabinet Minister Mr Whittingdale had previously declared attending similar events. Mr Coyle said: “It looks like he had something to hide. He needs to consider his position.”
