Where else could I read stories like this http://www.thesmokinggun.com/archive/years/2009/0318091dog1.html

Meet Michelle Owen. Concerned that an ex-boyfriend had used her laptop to search for child pornography, the Indiana woman asked police to search the computer for illegal images, but had her plan backfire when cops discovered two videos of her engaged in illicit acts with a dog. Owen, 24, was charged last week with two felony bestiality counts in connection with the video files, which a detective found in the laptop’s “recycle bin.” At the time Owen asked cops to search the computer, she was locked up in the Johnson County Jail on a public intoxication charge (which violated the terms of her release in a prior drunk driving case).

‘According to a police affidavit, a cop told Owen that he had found videos of her on the laptop and asked if she “knew what those files might be.” Owen, replied, “The one with the dog.” Cops believe that the dog in question, Toby, is a beagle. After asking if she was “going to be charged with this,” Owen said that the videos “were just something she did when she was drunk and barely remembers it,” adding that she tried to “delete them the next day when she was sober” – The Smoking Gun.com. For anyone with the time or inclination, the full police report is available to read at said website. It contains the glorious phrase ‘The dog appeared to lose interest’.

Beats how beagles are used in this country I suppose, most of them just get to wear makeup or smoke 40 a day….

Was probably a smoking beagle, hence why he lost interest. The poor fcuker probably wanted a fag

Ah so you’re over here now r_r? So did I, but I presume in a different way to you hun. Did the other thread get pulled and rob you of your trolling opportunity?

not trolling what so ever. I just get fed up with the scouser stuff, being from sheffield it tarnishes our image when in all honesty they were as much to blame as anyone.

Not according to the Taylor report or eyewitness accounts. Anyway lets not let facts get in the way eh?

eyewitness accounts from liverpool fans – believable!!

How can anyone think the comments made on the other thread are funny, I had two friends killed at hillsborough, so yeah, I take exception to comments like ‘murdering scousers’.

it is one thing to be a keyboard antagonist, but there is a line where ‘humour’ just becomes tasteless.

What happened to that ‘Champions League draw’ thread?

Have people been ignorant and insensitive or something?

Maybe you meant to insert a ?. Where you there? What do you base your comments on? the Sun?

explain this away then – gates were opened when loads of liverpool fans were trying to get in late/without tickets. how are the not to blame in some way? Fair do’s the police are 50% to blame but the other 50% blame lays omewhere

Nobody is saying that some blame should not be apportioned to Liverpool fans. The comments on the other thread were offensive and ill informed.
Taylor allocated a very small amount of blame on the Liverpool fans. 50% is a misrepresentation. Some blame yes.

Interesting statistical analysis there ralph. Goodness knows how long the Taylor report took to compile and how many pages it contained. They could have just asked you.

Yes Rudeboy, I think it was pulled, but what would we care eh? We’re just armchair fans so wouldn’t possibly empathise.

I stand corrected after reading the report and other sources – less than 50% blame is apportioned to liverpool fans

So what’s the problem you as a Sheffield man have with the whole “scouser thing”? I don’t ever relate anything that happens in either town to the other?

    loddrik

It didn’t make any difference which team it was, faced with the same situation but with another teams supporters, the same outcome would have been likely.

As a friend as one of the main police men that got the blame, as wednesdayite seeing the ground and club blamed persistently, the stigma that still is around – no nothing to have a problem with

I don’t really care what other peoples prejudices are, just don’t come on here and expect other people to read offensive points of view, keep them to yourself, and yes, I am refering to the other thread.

I have no problem that the club and the police were to blame for X % but hate when people do not take responsibility. The trouble at Heysel had a huge bearing on erection of fences as did trouble that followed “the big clubs” in the 60/70/80s including swfc and liverpool – if we had all behaved impecably none of this would have happend. Sadly that was not the case

the “lol” comment on the other thread was in reaction to the balls the Op had for posting the thread after the outrage it caused last weekend

All fair comment but thats not the position you took on the other thread. You and another began by making sweeping offensive statements.

I wouldn’t refer to it as “balls”. That implies some kind of pluckiness rather than stupidity and ignorance.

    WTF…

Are you lot arguing over events that led to the deaths of innocent people? Arguing over ‘who’s to blame’?

    S’a bit disrespectful, no?

Shit, man. People died, trying to watch the game they love.

Is point-scoring on here more important?

    Have a heart.

I think (most) everybody has been sure where the blame has lain for years Rb, but lobbing out comments just to piss people off, well that deserves pointing out I feel, not necessarily point scoring is it?

The fact it that some if not most people found the comments made by laresna on the champions league thread deeply, deeply offensive. If this was an attempt at humour then it was severely misjudged, if they are his genuine views, then he has some serious issues but either way, they have no place on a forum such as this.
