AND YOUR POINT CALLER?

Considering these incidents are few and far between these days, I wouldn't say alive and well, more dying on its arse.
Posted 1 year ago # -
Few and far between, tell that to Peadar Heffron!
I wish the Government would stop pandering and intern these scum
Posted 1 year ago # -
Ahh, Internment - your suggesting it as it worked so well the last time
?

FFS Joe, do you know your history? Interment without trial was tried in the 1970s and didn't work then, even less likely to work now as the human rights busybodies would be right up there, and I don't want to see Sharma Chakrabarti on the 6pm news everyday!

You're a bit mental aren't you?

I do, she's hawt!

NI is becoming a hotter potato as its economy suffers. Young men without jobs, the opportunity to find meaning, belonging, and routine in an extremist political movement, it's not a nice situation and its likely to continue getting worse.

I think that comments says more about the current situation in the Province than the bomb does, unfortunately. I really hope that people aren't stupid enough to let history repeat itself.

I just hope the Minister for Education is first in the internment queue, certainly help the future of children in Ulster if nothing else.

It's about time the people in NI realised the people in the UK and ROI don't give a damn what's happening in NI. In fact if we woke up tomorrow and NI had slipped beneath the Irish Sea would anyone be bothered?
Posted 1 year ago # -
I would

Terrorism there never really went away. Granted there were no bombs in the mainland but there were still targeting of RUC officers, kneecappings and extortion etc. It hasn't made the news largly because of A'stan etc. These people control the drugs market now and are still active. We'll be there for a while longer yet.

Can we intern JoeBones?

wonder how adams and mcguiness feel, do they secretly sympathise with the current crop of terrorists or dissosciate themselves completely from their past?
Posted 1 year ago # -
The IRA - and the other lot - were always just gangsters masquerading as 'Freedom Fighters'. They're no different from any other 'mob'. Now they've no longer got their political cause to hide behind, the authorities should just target them as such. Throw away the key

I am with binners on this one

Agreed.

what happens if they imprison the wrong people*?
* which is why internment never worked in the first place

Do you mean GB and ROI? NI makes up part of the UK
The clue is in the 'United' bit.

Having lived through that rubbish for 20 odd years of that rubbish I am with Binners on this.

Still, isn't it wonderful, Mrs.T (Welsh) and I are looking at moving back to NI. Mrs T is understandably 'cautious' about the move amidst me saying 'nothing to worry about' 'great schools' 'lovely people' etc and now this..............again
They have constantly blighted my 43 years on this planet - hateful, yellow, cowards!
IRA = I RAN AWAY

tankslapper I am very afraid to say, that while the Provo's may be the most infamous group they are neither the biggest nor the sole group responsible for scaring that land since the 1910's.

I'm with Cynic al; she's got absolutely beautiful eyes. Much better than looking at Andrew Marr.

Tow Ireland into the Atlantic and use Napalm was my dads suggestion in the 70s(

LOL. a bit harsh

He has mellowed since then !!

They just look like pretty bog standard, slightly bloodshot, brown eyes to me.
I don't think "absolutely beautiful" can be used in any way at all, when describing Shami Chakrabarti.
What she does come across to me as, is a right dirty sort who's up for anything
Could be wrong mind, but that's what goes through my mind when she's on my telly.

Joes Bones seen earlier at the door of Amnesty International wanting in

Interesting perspective, ErnieLynch.
What I find attractive about her, is that she dedicates her life to campaign for Human Rights, that's rights for all Human Beings.
Such as rights to a fair trial, rights to equal treatment, rights to legal representation, etc.
If she's a bit filthy as well, then all the better...

Blah, blah, blah, ..........Sod human rights for all Human Beings.
What about my right to dirty sex ?
I feel oppressed.
....and Shami should sort it out for me
