Noir has well and truly returned in "I Know Who You Are", a Spanish thriller full to the brim with twists and turns as well as shocking revelations. Highly recommended. Saturdays, BBC4 at 9.00 pm but, be warned, it's lengthy.

Catch up "Broken", a 6 part series written by Jimmy McGovern. A superb and powerful performance by Sean Bean did justice to the no holds barred storyline. This series really put a lump in my throat and more than once, very emotional stuff. Available on i-player.

"I Know Who You Are"

Yep, good stuff.

Can't believe I missed "Top of the Lake" first time around. It's utterly brilliant. Elisabeth Moss is sooo good.

Just finished Belgian one, 'Public Enemy' which was good. Didn't go on too long before it concluded which was a bonus.

Broken was brilliant!

We're into the 3rd series of Bloodline on Netflix, which after a lacklustre 2nd series (the 1st series was superb) is bang back on form!

It's like someone had a word with the scriptwriters and said 'yeah, the moody, brooding shit is all fine, but do you fancy getting back to plotting and scheming, drug dealing, and killing people, please?"

Last Man on Earth

How annoying did that get!? Still needed a concluding series.
If you liked the humour of it there's a comedy (in inverted commas) called "Baskets" (FX channel) about a bloke who wants to be a clown... yeah... Anyway it's that same sort of low-beat, downtrodden comedy. I managed 3 episodes before I couldn't cope anymore!

I could kind of take it or leave it towards the end, but the episodes were only about 20 mins long, so it wasn't much of a chore to see it though.

The Keepers on Netflix. Horrifying documentary that we ended up binge watching which I have never done before.

Just started Ozark

Really enjoyed the Americans - but did not stay up to date, so have to catch up.

Currently watching Designated Survivor. Not the most complicated television, but pretty watchable.

Just finished American Gothic (late to the party) which was a great show,

Currently... Animal Kingdom, Preacher (s2 far better than s1 imo), American Gods although not massively enjoying. Oh, and 'Teachers' on All4 as the mrs hadn't seen it.

Awaiting the santa clarita diet series 2 as that was amazing

Just finished - 13 Reasons Why, good watch.

Just starting - Stranger things, seems ok but the missus isn't a sci-fi fan so not sure that will last.

Been using netflix a lot recently, Suits and Archer on the train.

Handmaids tale is the only thing on regular TV I think at the moment.

Loads but just onto S2 of Into the Badlands which was a bit of a surprise find. Nothing ground breaking but a decent post apocalyptic, martial arts mashup.

Just finished Grace and Frankie, and latest Silicon Valley
Got stuck halfway through the latest House of Cards - lost the love.

Just finished American Gods. Liked a lot. Haven't read the book so no baggage. Really like the visuals and feel of it. Can't think of anything else I've seen quite like it.

Halfway through Preacher series 1. Loving it so far (so if series 2 is better...).

Anybody been following "Sex, Drugs & Murder" on the Beeb ? Only on once a month now but on iPlayer. Finding it scarily fascinating.

Love Island

Not Naked Attraction then?

Just finished American Gothic (late to the party) which was a great show,

American Gothic is tremendous, but annoyingly aired out of order and this transferred to the DVD. They'd kill someone off, then they'd be back in the show two episodes later. It's worth Googling the correct running order.

Just starting - Stranger things, seems ok but the missus isn't a sci-fi fan so not sure that will last.

Dude, it's brilliant and it's like eight episodes. It's hardly a massive investment / huge inconvenience to tolerate when you're not into it.

Just caught the "Detectorists" on BBC2, Becky's laugh makes me sigh and go "Mmmmmm..........." 😉
I might have to watch it from the start, I've only watched it the once but i figure it's one of those tv series that can take a repeat viewing.

Now that's interesting I'd written it off after the poor reviews. The first season remains as one of my favourite Netflix originals.

Have just finished watching the first and last season of Blacklist - Redemption, it s spin off from The Blacklist in which James Spader is a superstar, season 5 is coming next year which I think will be the last one.

Also just finished watching the last season of Gamorrah, ready for when the new season starting in November. Can't believe season one aired nearly 5 years ago!

Totally forgot I'd got the other half in to Boardwalk Empire before I came back out the Singapore. I think it's brilliant, I love Steve Buscemi.

Bit bored with the 3rd series of bloodline, only about halfway through.

Just started Ozark. 2 episodes in and really enjoying it.

Netflix or whoever need to hurry up with Spotless season 2.
