Hoping for moar cobbles!! There’s talk of ’em and some hardman classic style stages which would be great to see.

if i wanted to drag the family kicking and screaming to watch it somewhere, where would people recommend? Thinking south of france near the beach to keep them happy. But also near the mountains so Pappa can go mountian biking too

@howsyourdad – around Annecy is a good spot for that. Lake/town for family and road biking all around plus Chamonix/Samoes/Les Gets/… an hour away

Alpe d’Huez unfortunately turns into an overcrowded sewer when the tdf is around. Combine that with July heat and drunk dutch people, might not be best with the family. Also have to get there days before to bag a spot!

I see Froome is already saying the course doesn’t suit him. Pave obviously not his strength, and almost no TT. Might be too many mountains/mountain finishes to compete with Contador/Nibali/Quintana..?
