I’m calling digga’s Curtis as thread winner so far (obviously I can’t vote for my own bike).
More pics and info please diggaEmbarrassed to say I was going to call the Canfield mine. We should just get a room, with the bikes of course.
Gary at Curtis patiently adapted the front triangle tube lengths and angles of their AM29 to suit my measurements which I’d derived from my ORange Clockwork 29er, adding a slightly bigger downtube than usual for the odd jump to be enjoyed the better. He took his own, tighter rear triangle geo and then worked his magic sticking it all together. Works fab.
The rest is fairly standard spec, lots of Hope bits – very pleased with the (2012 model price-reduced from CRC) RockShox Revelations though.
It was originally intended for general singletrack trogging about and winter use, but has proved it’s mettle on fast, jumpy manmade stuff.
The geo chart says the range is 413 to 429, I guess they’re about 420 in the pic. I have a Yelli Screamy too which is 424mm.
I doubt I’d have bought the N9 (they ain’t cheap) unless I was already sold on the geometry from the Yelli.
I don’t think stays can go shorter than the Curtis, and still have clearance, unless the seat tube is bent (N9) or welded well forwards of the BB (Yelli).
