Interesting, I was ok reading at 600 words a minute on there.

Not sure how much information I’d retain for more than a few minutes at that pace, though.

Quite good website, that. I struggled at 3-400 WPM, but 600 was fine.

Interesting. Can’t really imagine reading a novel like that though, news stories perhaps.

hmmm. 3 days, and 3 completely different speed reading apps recommended on various forums.

just wondering how they became all the craze so quickly?

    ATR- Reddit 🙂

Top article on there a few days back was speed-readers, can they help with dyslexia?

I saw this a couple of weeks ago on Reddit. The top rated comment went something along the lines of “they’re great for short articles, but comprehension suffers as you cant easily go back and re-read the last word or paragraph”. Interesting idea that I’d like to try more of but it might take the fun out of a novel.

it’s hardly radical or particularly new, just a variation on ticker-taping/text scrolling used in games. Useful technique if you have limited real estate to display stuff or no vertical scrolling on tricky non touch/mouseless interfaces like HUDs and those google glasses things
