I sold my car on Gumtree last week (10 year old Jeep) – all was fine and the buyer was happy and paid cash.

He phoned me over the weekend with a couple of minor questions – all fine – and he said he was really enjoying the car.

Today I get a text asking if I can meet him at the weekend.

Good news or bad? Should I meet him, or make it clear it was sold-as-seen?
Any thoughts?

talk on phone and find out what it’s about – no way I’d go and meet someone ‘blind’ like that.

I would say it’s pretty unlikley to be good news. As above call the buyer and find out why he wants to meet. Maybe he’s got the hots for you.
