A dull, rather than hugely musical reason I'm afraid… The Akai is borrowed (and helped persuade me that loopers are fun) and I've stuck it in for the moment as it has tap-tempo, which my regular delay doesn't.
Chipps, the Strat is a Fender custom shop relic. The Les Paul was bought about 10 years ago. It's obviously modelled on the Jeff Beck 'blow by blow' guitar, but it's not the JB signature one.right…off to try the Blue Jam!

Well, I'm 47 years old so I'm guessing that my hearing isn't as good as what it used to be but even I can hear that the tone is, well, awesome.
He bought it 2 days after I was born (Oct '62) and it holds a tremendous sentimental value for me but I know that Dad wouldn't have wanted it not to be played so, rightly or wrongly, I'm actually gigging with it although I don't shout about the fact that it's an original.
