    What with the nights drawing in…well in a month or so….thinking about ordering a Bastid from DX before the autumn/winter rush kicks in and the delivery times go into 3-4 weeks+ like they did last year. To all the bods in the know is it worth waiting a bit due to some cheap as chips new LED coming onto the market soon or just pull the trigger on either the 3 mode or 5 mode 900 lumen jobby now?

    Edit: Oh and for the tech boffins is it better to go for the digital regulated 2400mA current output of the 3 mode or the 1000mA output of the 5 mode version or does it not really matter?

    Are the LED units removable and swappable with the fancy thee LED units they sell?
