Just done my 16 miles. Left about 5:40. Bit frosty but nothing too slippy.

Made it.
446m acent and 390m decent.
Took 30 mins longer than my best summer times (a vaguely embarrasing 1h45...but I always pootle into work otherwise I am knackered for a the day).Liberator placement is so the power lead doesn't get in the way of the Garmin.
Return leg this evening!

36 miles done here - was very nice - cool but not too slippy at all.

Trail rat, the liberator clamp is asymmetric so it fits over the stem ( perfect for the OCD rider)

Fair play mate, 22 miles in the morning would kill me (and take me ages)
Did my little 7 miles this morning, with a hangover, and a puncture on the way in. It just makes that first cup of coffee taste better

Well done for doing it.
A gorgeous morning - perfect for commuting IMHO - no wind or rain.
Just a tad cold on my idex fingers. Everything else was good.

Now starting to psyc myself up for the return leg...

Yep, lovely morning for a ride to work, makes a change from all the rain over the last few weeks.
Rode to work on the road (6 miles) and then came home at lunchtime the long way round, over the moors and through the woods (9 miles).

"Now starting to psyc myself up for the return leg..."
I can't say I would fancy that return journey at rush hour!

Well 2800lumen of front lights and 4 rear LED lights (including a Holy Handgrenade) and a Flashing LED tabbard thingy should be enough to make sure that any Audi driver can see me.

Have fun!
I used to do 40 miles a day. It was pancake flat mind. Avoiding rush hour was the best bit. On the bike by 6am without fail.
No Audi driver will see you if he is 6" behind the BMW in front.

Just out of interest, what do all you bike into work commuters do for a living?

Desk job innit? Couldn't do it if I had a manual job like a brickie or something, or needed to lug a lot of equipment or materials around with me.

I only asked as i am a plumber but could leave my van at work and cycle but i would be shattered after 2 days!

Had a summer job while at Uni as a Glazier's mate. Rode 10 miles a day to/from work. 10-hour day, 6 days a week. Knackering, and I was a lot fitter back then too.
For me now, commuting is pretty much the only daily exercise I get.

Office job (not always at a desk, but very limited exercise in my job).
Made it home.
The Audi drivers were VERY polite, esp the Q7 driver who waited 3 mins to get to a safe spot before overtaking.
