I have an old Fox Triad Shock(from about 2006), which is due for a service.

I have no problems with the shock, and never really thought I could do with it to do X, however I have never ridden any other shock so have nothing to compare it with.

My question is… would it be worth spending any money getting the shock serviced and pushed? Obviously this would make it better than it is now, but would it bring it more up to date if you like?

Or is it worth starting with a newer shock(rp23 or monarch) probably from ebay, which could need servicing anyway?

I ride mostly local woods, with the occasional trip into the peaks for the rocks! If that makes any difference.

I think you answered your own question.

I’d definitely get it serviced but why replace it? If it ain’t broke etc…

That’s my normal trail of thought. It is just that it is getting on a bit now, And surely a newer shock would be an upgrade?

A fox air spacer did more for my shock than getting it Pushed.

Give TF a call, they’ll give you good advice on what may suit your needs and their service standards are brilliant.
