    What’s the difference?

nothing in real terms as far as I can see. I’ve got 81s my riding buddy has 80s. When covered in mud they look exactly the same! in fact they look pretty bloomin similar brand new and out of the box. Both have goretex liner, and neoprene cuff. I think they have different cuts for the various panels but I don’t think there anything else.

MW81 has a lighter and stiffer sole with toe stud option. It has more supple straps for better fit adjustment and synthetic panels over the leather upper for increased durability.

Also has a cosy fleece lined footbed.

Both will let water in as it runs down your legs and then not let it out again.

They will also take days to dry out after this event has happened.
