Anyone had any beef with engaging the above?

Went from my Spesh trail 120 Carbon booty things and the same Egg beater Candy C pedal – which where ok.

To the Shimano DX shoes, as they where a wider fit.

Seem to be having trouble engaging them, probably due to the encased deep sole?? Have tried the Egg Beater Shim to raise the cleat (which I just walk on now!!).

    Ideas welcome?

(tempted to try flats TBH..) Been running clipped for 10 + years!

Mine are ok, no need for the shim

CB candy and DX here too, no problems for me, used the shim and it barely protrudes, and just set them up as normal, so-far they’ve been my faveourite combo yet (I was a Time user (3 years) straight out of toe straps (first 2 years riding), then flats for 5 years, then SPD for a brief time).

I do have problems with my CB Mallets on the DH bike, need to fit the shim for that
