We're a couple of miles outside of Hereford on the A4103 and have been passed by 15-20 unmarked vehicles with blues n twos on. A variety of vehicles from Merc Sprinters, Volvo estates, Merc SUVs, Porsche Cayennes.
Is that the polis or the Hereford boys out on a fairly significant call?
... and noted (by the missus) that each driver looked exactly the same. Clone like.
I kid you not!
Did they know what colour the boathouse was?
If they were going anywhere quickly, they wouldn't be driving...
I don't like your attitude!
Oh hi there, I'm SAS *
And yes, that was us, on our way to bust some drug pimps in birmingham, but mums the word - ssh.
* I'm not.
Porsche Cayennes.
Not the Fashion Police then.
Prolly just training
Did they know what colour the boathouse was?
Sean Bean never was very convincing.....
Ambush? I ambushed you with a cup of coffee...
Did they know what colour the boathouse was?
😆
Are you sure they were SAS and not 47 Samuri?
Was there an Audi and 2 motorbikes as well?
Sure they weren't just Police? Rozzers round here drive round in Vito's etc etc sometimes.
The only remotely convincing role I've seen Sean Bean in was in Tracey's story or whatever it was called.Sean Bean never was very convincing.....
It wasn't the Lady Gaga tour entourage ?
Nah, it was Hereford 😆

Maybe the cuts have hit them too.
Most likely police with blues and twos going - may have been a CO19 training operation in conjunction with the other security service.
The other people just DO NOT draw attention to themselves. If they're out in traffic they'll just cut you up and tell you to **** off if you say anything.
Before anyone asks, I know people. Oh yes I do.
Might be the National Crime Agency saw them on the news using a lot of over priced pimpmobiles as cop cars
Before anyone asks, I know people. Oh yes I do.
Do your people know my people?
Probably not, as if they did, my people would have to kill your people.....
On their way to intercept Carol Vorderman before she opens any more Morrisons?

Always assuming that they don't drown beforehand... 🙄

They probably lease the cars from a middle-newly created government body specifically created to manage and lease cars to said agencies. This body probably has a Chief Exec on £300,000 a year.
Either that or its a PFI-type set up with the cars costing 3times what they can buy them for from a dealers or borrow from exisiting forces
Cynical kit-cat me.
By the way I can't talk about my time in the regiment, or the Ops that I led or name na
or the Ops that I led or name na
na? I think I know him?
did you mean to name him?
<wipes doorhandles and leaves Hora's house without attracting attention>
On their way to intercept Carol Vorderman before she opens any more little plastic self-sealing bags?
FTFY
<plants land mine in Hora's sock draw, leaves binner's finger prints on front door and leaves without attracting attention>
tonyd, hope you made sure you left a "present" somewhere subtle.
Part of the grand game that.
I saw a very similar convoy in the run-up to the olympics, apparently something to do with a dry run of the Torch relay. Anything similar due in the next few months?

I'm sure whoever it is, they'll appreciate you posting live updates of where they are on a public forum 😉

Well, rather that than having them kick your back doors in, surely?

<pedant>
Would (S)CO19 be training to responses outside Larden town? They are MET after all...
</pedant>
Them was probably going to bollock some 'al farmer for leaving crap on the road from spud luggin', mon.
Well, rather that than having them kick your back doors in, shirley?
and don't call me Shirley
Could well have been one of the training convoys up to Scotland. Due to a lot of press about the use of Pen Y Fan and so many tourists standing around with cameras the special forces have started heading up to Scotland.

I was chatting to some out on Sealand ranges once and at DTE Swynnerton with them practising all sorts of things so they do train out of area but wouldn't be responding to stuff.
But they'll be using their training facilities and perhaps be training alongside the special forces as they oft work together
I'm led to believe the boys from Credenhill and the police have had a lot of collaboration lately, particularly counter-terrorism stuff.

I'm Thames Valley (Oxford) and on my advanced driving course we spent a few days driving (in unmarked cars equipped with blues and twos) into and around Wales, had lunch in Tebay Services (top local product and independently run) and a fish supper on a late run on the south coast. Regularly bumped into Metpol and other forces' driving courses in cafes all over the place, some roads are worth the journey.
And our specialist firearms teams trained regularly with the services and other forces teams in Wales and elsewhere.

All those Grauniad journalists to intimidate....
The plod armed response training most likely. They do some of it at Credenhill. Ahem.......So I'm lead to believe.
