    I have a 26.8 Race Face carbon post and a new steel road frame which takes 27.2 Is it ok to use a seat post shim on a carbon post?

    doubt you’ll get a .2mm thick shim – it’s just too slim.

    might be best asking for a swap in the classifieds?

    I reckon it will fit ok to be honest. Your best bet is to try it and see, that way you can worry about it later.
