Hi guys, hopefully a quick answer and lots of p1sstaking

On a carbon Santa Cruz can (and should) you remove the downtube logo (yes I know it’s worth 1/2 the bikes value) .
chain reaction have a deal on the 2017 black and yellow solo and BC discount works,
Don’t really want yellow, prefer stealth or grey/silver,

I’ve seen on invisiframes and stif you can buy downtube decals that stick over/ cover the original logo,
if I do this is it best to put under the invisframe or on top

End result I’d want it stealth

You’ll damage the laquer. Don’t do it.

You will need to stick something over the existing logos.

I’ve seen these recommended on another website:
    http://www.hasdesigns.pt/
    http://nldesigns.eu/frame-decals

There is also an “official” option:

Thanks guys thought that might be the case, I’ll get some logos to cover it up,
Should this be done before invisiframe or on top of invisframe ?

I would personally not put Invisiframe on the side of the downtube. It doesn’t need the protection and you’d have a bit of a bump where you’re intending to cover over the yellow logo.

How about carefully using a marker pen or spray paint? If it looks shit then you always have the fall back of putting stickers on top.

@fanatic278, ah ok, getting the kit done so presumably it doesnt cover the sides, i’m getting a dealer to fit it, up north labour is cheap,

my mate in surrey was quoted £80-120 just to fit, i’ve been quoted £100 all in (its £79 to buy on the site, clearly dealer gets a far better deal), but my time and effort is worth more to me.

I was thinking about matt black spray paint :0)

I have a cunning idea. Buy the decal kit and take out the lettering from the backing. Then you can use the remaining sticky bits as a template for spraying. And as before, if it looks rubbish then you still have the letters you can stick on the frame.
