I’m after some help with planning a road trip.
Idea is to rent a motor home from uk, to then travel to east france, the girlfriend would like to visit Bern in switzerland for one/two nights.

I need to find one or a couple of places to stay/visit on the way there and back.
Criteria wise, we would like mountains, forests and lakes to do a little bit of swimming and kayaking.

The girlfriend has just got into biking and is a bit nervous about the idea of technical trails. so would like some smooth flowy trails with good views.

I had wondered if it was best to travel in my van and stay in a cheap hotels.
reason for the motor home was the girlfriend suffers from IBS so would feel happier with the motor home than camping.

any ideas would be brilliant.
