Sometimes yes, usually no and why would you want to do it anyway?

Not sure about compatibility, but mixing Campag and Shimano is a crime punishable buy a thousand whips of an arm warmer.

There's chat on the CTC site about it IIRC.

9s campag shifter using a shimano mech just about works on a 8s shimano cassette and I think the same has been said of the 10s shifter.

Bit of an old cross thing was to mix campy shifters in 10spd and shimano 9spd cassettes(Ithink its that way around). The lever pull ratio works out OK you just miss a click.

As Crazy Legs said tho why would you bother these days?
