Got a couple of days off, travelling up from Warks, want to try the Peak District, fancy a 3-4 hour ride.

What do people recommend trying?

Take a Fat Bike and drag an anchor down the sympathetically resurfaced Rushup.

Do absolutely as much as possible before the council destroy all the interesting trails!

Well joking aside the Jacobs loop from Hope that take in Hollins Cross, Mam Tor, Rushup Edge, Roygh Clough, South Head, Jacobs is a good one. Depending how fast you are that's 3-4 hours. If you are quick can add a loop to Limestone Way down excellent Cave Dale descent. Riding in the Peak is tough, lots of climbing and descending, very little is flat which is a good thing. 8)

Also you should do a loop around Ladybower which takes you up to Whinstone Lee Tor and over to Hagg Farm / Beast area

Definitely check in at 18 Bikes in Hope, they area great shop and can offer lots of route advice.

There are quite a few threads on here to search and much good advice, I try and visit one or twice a year and have been helped out a lot by STWers

Just in case you haven't seen the loop I mentioned is the one taking in this
