Anyone know any good riding areas for a sneaky day trip or 2? Probably good stuff in the Western Pyrenees

Luchon’s only a couple of hours away (if that) from Biarritz

yup – that’s an option, but a bit further than I hope – over 3 hours from Soustons per RAC

guess there must be some good stuff around Pau?

Dont know I’m afraid – we spent a few days in Luchon & then drove over to Santander via Biarritz…

Theres a lot to recommend Luchon if you can stomach the drive – the Superbagneres lift being the main thing!

Must be some good stuff closer to Biarritz though as you say.
