I’m heading to Abergavenny at the end of july and would like to know what kind of riding there is around there, whether it’s uplifted or push up i don’t mind.

I mainly ride downhill, with having a downhill bike, however i can do longer rides to an extent.

Uplift? 20mins to BPW and 30mins to Cwmcarn. There are no uplifts very near Aber.

Black mountains ‘killer loop’

My local town. I can gpx you loads of loops around the area, from easy to full-on mountain days. Loads of great riding in the area to be fair. Grab a map and head for the hills.

Go to Crickhowell, in the local outdoors shop, route guides for the killer loop available, a proper day out in the hills, don’t forget a map too
