Sounds so like our Star. She was 11, dark coat long haired Shepherd. Heart problem (probably a tumour), basically same symptoms you describe. We let her go the day before Bonfire Night a 4 years ago. She hated fireworks.
If you're anything like us you'll miss her desperately, but make sure you remember you've obviously done your best for her all her life, and kept with that to the end. RIP Rex.

Actually brought tears to my eyes reading this.
Glad he lived a long life and you guys had lots of fun together though!Posted 5 months ago # -
Sorry to hear this. Caused a lump in my throat just as a bit of dust blew into my eye as well.
Jut remember how Rex landed on his feet ending up with you. Don't worry, you'll never forget him. Get plenty of pictures up on here and remember the good times with him.

Nothing cheers you up like a new puppy.

Sorry for your loss. Some may think ffs it's a dog but when they're with you for so long it's hard.
Time is better than puppies, don't rush into anything.
My other dog is an 11 year old Rott. He's got a grey beard and is slow to get up sometimes. It's hard to think about but I got him from a rescue and he's been all over with me, had a great life.
It will hit me hard but you've just got to remember the life you've given them and the life they could have had.

Very sad day! My brothers dog was put to sleep this morning. The 15 year old labrador/collie had had a good life but lost her master 4 years ago when he passed away and she had been pining for him ever since.
Now can't stop thinking about both of them
