I’ve seen some older news items hinting at it, anyone know? Had my 1000 nicked, so if there is a new model incoming I would rather hold out….

Hasn’t the Edge 820 replaced it?

I would think the Edge 1000 to be the next one due for replacement, but I would have thought it’s too late for xmas, so I wouldn’t expect to see it until spring/summer next year.

Apparently the 820 doesn’t do power meters which if that is true rules it out for me. I’ve still got my trusty 800 so I’m happy to wait if it is a few months

    It’s the 820 Explore that doesn’t do power meters – https://www.dcrainmaker.com/2016/07/garmin-edge-820.html

Since my (now ancient tech) 510 can record the data from power meters I would have been very surprised if the 820 didn’t or indeed any of the main Garmin Edge units.

820 here (not the explorer one.) Works well with all my power meters!
