Now that the 29er wheel size is obsolete, and too many trails have not burst into life, it’s time to chuck them out, and replace them with a bike that will bring the trails alive.
Wheely bins throughout the country are full of almost unused Ti and carbon 29er frames and those silly cart wheels. You’ve probably noticed in it your street, Niner and Lynskey frames poking out of bins and skips.
But wait! Think of the environment.
Those useless old 29ers can be converted into a road bike. It’s as easy as a pair of slick Schwalbe Big Apples and a set of drop bars.
Here’s mine
The only problem is getting used to riding on the road.
Some of it is ok
But I’m finding it just as bumpy as mountainbiking.
However those slick tyres and drop bars do bring the trails alive. 🙂

Bit confused about your memes there; it’s 650B that brings the trails alive, not 29ers…
Exactly, so if they don’t bring the trails alive then they’ll have to be skipped or turned into road bikes….. 😉
Well clearly there’s no point in turning them all into road bikes. If you reckon that they’re obsolete, I’ll happily take the rest off your hands and won’t even charge you for disposal.

…doesn’t a set of b+ wheels you have for the 29er frame count?
I do have 4 proper 650 size bikes, 650A, aka the British Imperial size 26×1?”. Not to be confused with that inferior continental rubbish, the imposter 650B, which is a ¼” smaller.
I trust all patriotic Brits will badger their lbs to ensure they get proper British 650A wheels instead of that cheapskate shrunken 650B. Then not only will the trails come alive, they’ll hum Rule Brittania. 🙂

…Where is the last pic in the OP taken please?
Just past the Fyrish monument on the hill above Evanton near Dingwall.
