Or, shutting the door after the horse has bolted

There’s a bewildering array of stuff out there and I dont really know where to start. So, if you have any personal recommendations, I’d like to hear about them.

    The basic requirements are:

    Wireless (range at least 30m)
    Contacts for front/rear doors
IR motion sensors for house & garage

We’ve got one of these – easy to fit, reliable so far, can turn off sensors upstairs and leave the downstairs ones on. After we got burgled I went straight out and got one, I know they’re not completely secure due to being wireless but all you really have to do is make your house less attractive to burgle than next door – which I think this does for not much money!

wireless is not very good for alarm systems.
various problems with them that most scallies know about.

i can sell you a full wired system for less than the wireless one linked to.
if you are interested give me a ring on monday, ask for tony

Hmmm, my garage has no power and the quotes I’ve been given to provide power to it have been way more then I expected. I’m happy to have a wired system in the house but I need a wireless component for the garage. Will I have to get 2 separate systems, or can wired systems incorporate wireless bits?
