Looking to buy a 32-40" tv. Any recommendations? Any particular shops I should try, or avoid?

John Lewis – Price matching and a free 5 year warranty on all TVs. Job done.

John Lewis price matching? Sign of the times!

I had also thought about Richer Sounds, but I find their website very confusing.

They were one of the first companies to ever do it, so hardly a new thing! "Never knowingly undersold"

yup, but theres more conditions tham most shops, has to be local and in stock, and as the best deals are invariably online its realy the warenty your going there for.

Same question as above but for bigger TV's, which 38"+ TV for £500? We already have a 32" samsung, picture is only OKish (better than a cheep crap telly from TESCO, but not as good as a good one), and its just too small in our front room.

I'm very happy with my Pana P37X10 – can be had for £440 now and I thought I was getting a bargain at £475 a few months ago.

However this guide could be useful? If a little out of the price range:

John Lewis " Never Knowingly Undersold". Price match is ok if you can find the product elsewhere. They change product codes so that you can't find the product elsewhere as it a JL exclusive!

Always had Sony, trinitron, then vega then Bravia. However just bought a 42 inch lg and seems every bit as good IMO, just don't see any reason to pay the premium now.

We've just bought a 32" Sharp LCD from Dixons and are very happy with it. The free delivery turned up next day and I'm currently waiting for our £100 cheque! 😀
